New Years Resolutions – Make my website work

There are two types of site, those that work and those that exist.

Those that exist are just there. They hang around on the internet all day long doing little more than - well, just existing.

Where as other sites work. They advertise themselves, get noticed, interact with clients new and old and make their owners money.

Which site have you got? 

There is a campaign to encourage people to make a single resolution this year and stick to it, rather than making many resolutions and achieving none.

Make your website your one business resolution this year.

A website can achieve so much for a business, and one that works will make your life so much better and carry many rewards.

What stops us is the time it takes, our understanding of the internet and how to get the best out of it.

Having been in the internet industry for over 15 years, I know how to create an effective web solution that looks like it cost £10,000’s for an actual cost to the customer of £100’s. I know how to market it and make a website ‘work’.

The biggest stumbling block with most, if not all website solutions, is the content and the structure of the site.

·        The content determines the sites identity and its marketing potential.

·        The content drives traffic to the site and keeps them there or loses them.

·        The content is the heart of the site and determines its long term success or failure.

Of all the businesses I have seen over the last 4 years, content has been the biggest hurdle for individuals to create for themselves.

It is like staring at a blank piece of paper, you know what it is you want it to do, but you just cannot quite get that first paragraph to sound right. So you delete it and think again. 30 minutes later it is still a blank piece of paper that is now eating into your precious time.

I will admit that I struggle myself with the content for my own sites, but find it amazingly easy to construct it for others.

Unfortunately that in itself is a problem, because no one will know your business quite like you. Therefore, my content suggestions for your company may sound ok, but it may not be the best solution for you.

So my solution is to create the site with the content I suggest, then give you a website that you can change when you want. No ongoing costs and it leaves you with a developing website with the marketing basics built in and more importantly a growing site that will develop with your business and not against it. 

I do not believe that a website should be a chore. I do believe that it should be an asset for any business and I am only a phone call away if you need further help or assistance.
